Every now and then I’d like to take the time to post about some covers I’ve come across that I really like. To be honest, despite the old saying about not judging a book by its cover, I might be a little book cover obsessed.
The cover of Slide by Jill Hathaway is very simple. I’m not entirely sure what draws me to it. It may be my thing for purple. It may be that I feel it matches the synopsis for the book. I’m not sure, but it’s lovely.
Did I mention my thing for purple? I think this cover for Lucid is perfect for the story, which revolves around girls who switch lives, while they sleep and dream. The cover perfectly captures that dreamy feeling. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
I own the hard cover of Across the Universe but when I saw this paperback in the store the other day I was tempted to buy it. I love the color scheme and just the whole overall design. I think it’s a little less showy than the hard cover edition and I like it a lot.
This is the German edition of one of my favorite books I’ve read this year: Fire. I really like the US cover but this is beautiful.
This is the French edition of Fire. I really enjoy this one too, even though I imagined Fire’s hair to be darker, blood red almost.
What about you? Come across any covers this week that you just can’t get out of your head?
